Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I want to be recruited to play softball in college because I love working hard each day to make myself and my team better. While I know that playing at the collegiate level will be difficult I am ready to put in the time and effort that it takes to make my team the best it can possibly be.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

On the field, I am always the loudest one cheering my teammates, and I make sure to step in if the team energy is slowing down, for example calling a time out to bring everyone together and make sure everyone is relaxed and ready for the next play. Off the field, I do my best to make sure that my team has a close bond. For example, I created the softball club at my high school to expand the Whitman softball community and bring my team closer together outside the high school season.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I pursue a healthy athletic performance by participating in additional sports to make sure I am well rounded. These sports include swimming and running. Additionally, I have a healthy, balanced diet.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

In my community I am a Manna Food Shelf volenteer, an assistant coach for a rec softball team, and am a camp councilor at Landon in Summer. In my school community I am the president of the softball club and a member of Best Buddies, a group dedicated to helping LFI students. All of these activities are extremely important to me because I believe one should always help out others to the best of their ability and try and make your community a welcoming place for all.
