Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I want to be recruited because I really love the sport of volleyball. Ideally I would like to keep playing for as long as possible.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I have demonstrated leadership on the court by leading my high school team in our first ever state championship. After going down 0-2 in the match I gathered the team and talked to them, reminding them that the match isn't over until the game hits 25. I reminded them all the things that we have done and told them that we can do this because our coaches, parents, teachers, and fellow classmates all believe in us. Most importantly I told them that I believe in us and we are only going to win if we all believe in each other. We won the match 3-2. I have shown leadership off the court by being apart of campus ministry. In campus ministry we have to run religious retreats for grades 6-12.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I make sure that I get all my school work done before I go to practice or games. I set aside time to study if necessary and make sure I have my priorities straight. Including school, practice, and games, I also work out on the side whenever I can. To maintain a healthy body, I make sure to not eat any unnecessary sugars.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I have been involved in numerous service activities like environmental and cultural (Hawaiian) restoration and community events with the elderly. I have helped in volleyball camps and clinics as well. These activities are important to me because I like to give back and help those who have helped me throughout my life.
