Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

My father is a football coach. As a result, I've grew up on the sidelines, in the gym and weight room, and at my own practices. Many of the coaches in my life have inspired strong participation by promoting hard work and recognizing growth. Athletics has always been a natural balancing agent to school and health, and I would like that to continue.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

As an athlete I served as a captain of our JV basketball team in 2016, and our football and baseball teams in 2017. Off the court/field, I am also a member of our "no excuse" weight training and fitness club and maintain a respectable 3.7 GPA as a student and member of the Boyne City chapter of National Honor Society. I also serve a volunteer coach for younger players.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

The best athletes lead simple lives. I pursue healthy athletic performance through my own simple living. I achieve this balance by working hard academically in and out of the classroom, and playing hard in the weight room and on the field. I'm also learning to apply that work ethic in the kitchen, as nutrition is playing a larger role in my training recently. Last, I seek the help help of coaches and reliable adults who have my best interests in mind. Healthy performance comes from building a strong body, mind and support network, while avoiding those things toxic to that foundation. As a result, I do not drink, smoke, or use any drugs.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

As a member of our high school national honor society I am involved in a number of community based services. I have been a community Christmas volunteer for a number of years and I've aided in the organization of Red Cross blood drives. Additionally, I have served as a youth football practice helper, and as an elementary reader every year during homecoming. I've also served as a BCHS cafe and flower sales volunteer, and participated in fundraising for every sport I've participated in.

Never posted senior stats but the year was fantastic. Phenomenal team chemistry with the best bunch of guys. My last trip to the mound was a shut out against TC Saint Francis. We later bowed out...

Hit a new turn & burn PR at Sandlot Baseball last week - 94MPH. Can't wait to visit the Florida Baseball Ranch in November for velo training. Working to bring that kind of power to the mound!

One more year of high school ball and I'll be looking for a new mound and dugout. It is my goal to play college ball - so I hope some of you coaches out there see some potential in me.
