Other Academic Information
I'm currently enrolled in "Running Start," which is a dual credit program with Southwestern Illinois College. I take all of my classes at the college and when I graduate in May 2019, I will have both a high school diploma and an Associates of Science degree. Unlike the Honors classes at OTHS that are weighted on a 4.5 scale, the college course grades are not weighted, which slightly affects my class ranking (but the early college experience and Associates Degree are well worth the small drop in overall GPA). After graduation, I would like to attend a university that offers both diving and a BS in Marine Biology.

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.
Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.
Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I am currently working on my Girl Scout Gold Award. For this project, I must incorporate an educational aspect, leadership of volunteers, a permanent object that identifies what I have done as a Gold Award project, and log at least 80 hours of work on my project. I am mainly working with the Audubon Center at Riverlands in West Alton, Missouri, focusing on assisting them in improving the endangered turtle project that they already have in place. My particular project will include a patch for Girl Scouts/Boy Scouts to work through during a visit to the Audubon Center, a diorama representing a herp array (set of turtle traps for data collection purposes) that I will use to help explain both my Gold Award and the Audubon Center's turtle project to visitors of the center, and volunteering myself to help employees of the Audubon Center check the herp arrays for turtle hatchlings as well as leading other volunteers in projects such as clearing invasive plant species attempting to overtake the turtles' nesting habitats.
