I always knew that I wanted to run track in college, I love the excitement of competing and the team spirit that running with a team brings. I have competed in the 60m all the way to the 2000m in cross-country and I realize, I just love to run. At 10 yrs old, I was the district and regional USATF cross country champion. Now I have found my passion in sprints.
I am very instrumental in the preparation of the School Yearbook every year. I am responsible for attending events, taking photos and preparing spreads for the Yearbook.
I am also a Nutrition student at Concordia, we explore ways to prepare healthy meals using fresh ingredients. This has helped me to understand the value of the things that I put in my body and how it affects my performance in my sport.
Recently in Texas, we have had our share of challenges, from hurricane Harvey to the recent snow storm that we were unprepared for. After the hurricane, I assisted in the distribution of clothes, school supplies, diapers and bottled water to those that were in need after the storm.
