Honor Roll and Citizenship Award every semester
I thrive being part of a team. According to my athlete analysis, I am an Eagle. I like structure and I am a respectful, even tempered and highly coachable athlete. I have played on a sports team since I was 4 years old in soccer, baseball, football and volleyball. To be able to continue playing volleyball while I pursue my 4 year college degree is my ultimate goal.
Although I am soft spoken and have a mellow personality, I am a strong leader. On the field, I consider myself to have servant leadership. I do what is best for my team and am the level headed one who boosts morale. I am a leader as often off the field as on the field. Most recently, the way I have shown this is embracing my good friend who lost his father. I show him my support in any way I can and I show others that this is the time to include him when it would be easier not to be around someone who is going through a sad time.
To me, healthy athletic performance means physically, mentally and physically. I do this physically at practices or being physically active 5-6 days a week. I understand that the mental game of sports plays a huge part. I stay focused, driven and do not allow a bad play or incident negatively effect me going forward. Spiritually, I have a strong Christian upbringing and a close connection with my family. Both of these lift me up and have made me who I am.
Serving others to me is a life long commitment. My family does quarterly community services projects including beach clean ups, fundraisers, and with our church through the Mission Beyond Committee. This is important to me because I have always been taught that if I am a giver, I will lead such a more blessed life. Serving your community means doing things without expecting anything in return. You never know who you will impact or influence positively just be giving your time.
