I want to be recruited to play sports in college so that I can better my skills in diving and also be on a team that will be family and support each other. The experience of being in a sport through college will stay with me the rest of my life and I will learn so many life skills through it.
I have grown up doing gymnastics and I have always been the oldest one and have had to be a great leader with the other younger gymnasts. I have had to help coach them and teach them life skills throughout gymnastics.
I try to pursue a "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete by not succumbing to the tempting behaviors that many of my high school peers involve in. It is very important to me to stay healthy and not do anything that will risk my athletic performance.
I have provided service in my community by helping out in the church a lot and playing in the worship band most Wednesday nights. I am also involved in our high school's National Honor Society which provides a lot of service in the community. I believe it is just as important to serve others and your community than to serve yourself. Service to me is very important because it is a way to give back to my community.
