Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I want to be recruited to play volleyball in college because it is not only an amazing way to meet new people, it is also something I have dreamed about ever since I started my volleyball career in fifth grade. It is something I love and enjoy spending time doing. I have worked really hard to get this far in my career and I don’t want it to end after high school.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

When I am on the court, either during practice or a game, I like being a leader. If we’re trailing behind in a game, I always try to hype my team back up and get them back into the game. When I am not on the court, I show leadership during work. Whenever we get busy at work there has to be someone who takes the leader position to make sure everything runs smoothly and things don’t get backed up, which would end up in us having a wait time. At work, the leader is considered to be the person communicating to the customers when they walk into the restaurant, as well as the other workers.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I pursue a “healthy athletic performance” by keeping myself healthy mentally and physically. If your body isn’t healthy, you won’t perform as well as you could when you are healthy. If your mind isn’t healthy, you won’t be able to focus on your athletic performance. I also pursued this by making sure my grades are good and if they aren’t I wouldn’t just let it be, I would do my best to seek help on the subject and do better to get my grade back to where I want it to be.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I am involved in service in my community in many different ways. I volunteer at my church’s carnival every year, which is important to me because i get to see all these people bring their friends or family with them to spend time together and enjoy their time at the carnival. I also volunteer to help coach volleyball at my middle school, St. Matthew’s Catholic School. I have volunteered there every year since I graduated from that school. It is important for me to volunteer there because the girls on the team are there to play a sport that I love and I hope that I can make them reciprocate that same love for the sport. It is also important because I want them to know that they have someone in their corner rooting for them on the sidelines.
