Volleyball Honors

2019 Team Captain, floor captain, Voted All-conference, All-state Honorable mention .

UMD Volleyball camp "bulldog award" 2019.

2018 Season Finale banquet - Blessed to have been voted by my team as most competitive, most encouraging and unifying, most trustworthy teammate, and hardest worker. Recap - Voted All-State honorable mention, All-conference 1st team, All-County Team for our 2018 season. I was #1 in blocks with 44, #2 in kills with 240, #2 in hitting efficiency .294, #2 in kill percent at 39.4%, 100% for my playable passes. Passer rating 2.32, serving percentage was 92.3%, defense 83.8%, and hitting accuracy was 90%. Best of all was the opportunity to play with some amazing teammates and earn our way to our State Tournament, it was an amazing ride for my Junior year.

Volleyball Additional

2019 was a successful year, I was blessed to play more "all-around" this year and gained valuable back row skills this year. I was blessed to be voted 1st team all-conference, All-state honorable mention. Our rotation allowed outside and middle hitting /blocking roles. We ended our season 30-6. (61-12 the last 2 years and 85-23 if you include my sophomore year when I began working my way onto varsity. I ended my career with 730 kills, 147 blocks, 513 digs, serving over 96%. We unfortunately ended our season in the state quarter finals against a very good team.

Last year, I was an important part of our well-rounded team that made it to the Division 3 semi-final. I was honored to be selected to all local "all-conference team" and "all-state honorable mention". My development shows in my consistency and improvement in kill percentage and blocking but I know I can continue to get better. Our record and success in the playoffs is a testimony to the improvement and the balance on our team. My stats for each year though show my consistency as well.

As sophomore, I played on a very successful club team, I was a varsity letter winner, serving accuracy 96.8, hitting accuracy 89.5, 2nd on team kill percentage at 38.8, second in hitting percent at .283, 3rd in kills last year at 188, 44 blocks, serve receive 93.8, Prior "all-county player to watch" and west lakeland conference honorable mention. Voted "most-fearless", "most-positive", "most-encouraging", and "hardest worker" by teammates.

Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

My older siblings have all been active in sports, they have participated in college level sports and I see the positive effects it can bring to college life academically, socially, and physically. The challenge and competition can be a great opportunity for personal growth and a way to contribute.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I was selected as a basketball captain last year as a sophomore. I also feel that others look up to me for my positivity and hard work ethic. Recognized by my coach and teammates for these qualities.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

My family and I try to eat right, we grow our own garden and raise our own beef. We work actively and try to find a balance of several different sports and also take time to spend with each other and stay focused on what's important in life.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I currently am involved in my church as both a server and youth religious education, volunteer. In my school I am a mentor, I worked this last summer as a classroom aide, I volunteer for bilogical research, and I am on the Link group and student council.
