Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I love soccer. It's one of my main passions. I also love reading, learning, challenging myself outside of my comfort zone, and helping the people around me.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

Off the field, I was the first female student body president in elementary school. I am a lead actress in our 8th grade play. I tend to be the one that my friends and classmates talk to when they are having a tough time.

On the field, I'm encouraging my teammates with verbal encouragement, as well as getting them fired up by giving my all on the field with clean physical play, and speed to set up a great play or receive for that final drive in.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I keep a good balance of academics with sports. I'm usually outside when the weather is nice, either shooting and practicing soccer, or rollerblading and running. I try to keep healthy food choices, so I'm giving my body the fuel it needs, and most of the time, have a water bottle with me so I stay hydrated. I also spend a lot of time reading and making sure I'm not losing sight of my goal of becoming a neurosurgeon.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.
