Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

It has always been a dream of mine to be able to continue and pursue my love for basketball. If I went to college to play I would be living the best life for myself because I've completed my ambitions. I work really hard for what I want and as a student athlete I am able to handle sports, school work, home life, and social things and hopefully in college I can increase my participation in sports even more.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

When I’m not on the court, I’m doing everything in my ability that I possible can to help out in my community in any way. I am always first to jump in any positions that need filled. On the court, I am a leader by solving any problems teammates may have, helping those who don’t understand, being able to fill in any position I am asked to fill, and I listen to what my coach has to say and execute it best I can.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

As a student athlete, I keep a healthy athletic performance by keeping myself in good condition. I make sure that I am hydrated, eating well, in shape, and getting enough sleep so I can play physically. During activities, I push myself as hard as I can. After activities, I rest my body, ice any muscles I feel is needed, and get a lot of protein and iron in my body.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I am involved in my community by volunteering for activities and helping those around me when the help is needed. I do concession for any sports games when someone needs me. I also help with a blood drive at my school at least twice a year and I've done that for 4 years. Another thing I help with is my school's Special Olympics. These efforts are important to me because by me being there to help anytime I know that it gives adults relief about scrambling to find anyone else. It also makes me feel good about myself helping out in anyway that is possible.
