Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

Ever since I began to play volleyball, I've always wanted to play in college. I work hard to improve my skills in whatever way I can and become the best player I can possibly be. Playing in college would be a great achievement for me and I would love to be given the opportunity!

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

As a leader and member of my community, I help others on and off the court. When it comes to volleyball, I am always helping my team read a hit and make sure we are in the correct positions in order to succeed. Outside of volleyball, I volunteer at my local church and mentor children. Lastly, at school, I help my friends and classmates whenever they are struggling in class.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

Being an athlete, it is vital to make sure you are always healthy. Throughout the year, I make sure to eat healthy and exercise. After my school season ends, I am a varsity winter cheerleader allowing me to stay in shape. In January, my club season begins and continues until the end of May. During the summer I run to stay in shape until volleyball picks up again. Although I enjoy the occasional junk food binge like most, I make sure to eat healthy the majority of the time.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I believe in giving back to my community as often as possible. I am a Catechism teacher’s assistant at St. Thomas More Church in Fairfield, NJ. I am a START 2 animal shelter volunteer in Wayne, NJ. I participate in Dig Pink Events to promote Cancer awareness. I feel combining spirituality, kindness & awareness is a formula to help anyone in need.
