Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

Playing basketball in college has been a goal for as long as I can remember. I watched Womans college ball with my family when I was young and remember thinking, “I could do that someday. I want to be out there” Now that I’m older, I know that being a part of a team (family) on that level during my college career would be an amazing opportunity! I just really don’t want to stop playing after High School either! I love the game!

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

A big part of being on a team is being supportive of your teammates on and off the court. Leading by example is important too. If my teammates see me working harder, playing tough and pushing through even when I feel like I don’t have anything left, they will be motivated to do the same.
I work with a PBL team in my community and help coach young girls, 3rd and 4th graders. I want to help young girls develop their skills and cultivate a love for the game.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

Being in High School with a busy schedule can make it tough to stick to healthy eating habits, exercise and sleep but I know that it is so important! Staying hydrated, going to bed at night to get enough rest and sticking to healthy food choices helps me perform better on the court and in my classes.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

It is important to me to get young girls involved in sports. I think woman as a whole are under appreciated in Womans sports. We have to work hard at making sure we have the same opportunities as Men. I think that starts at the youth level. Youth sports needs more volunteers, strong role models and funding. I want to do my part to make sure young girls are given that opportunity.
