Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I absolutely love sports competition. I like being part of a team that is working towards a common goal. I also feel that playing a sport in college will help me gain additional leadership and organizational skills. Many college athletes go on to have very successful professional lives, and I would like to follow in their footsteps.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I attend a very academically challenging school and take several accelerated courses, which requires me to be a leader in the classroom. I carry my intellectual leadership over to the football field where I encourage my team to focus on mentally preparing for our opponents by diligently watching film, knowing our opponents and understanding our position assignments.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I workout and train hard, but I make sure that I listen to my body. I monitor my mental and physical rest and attempt to watch my nutrition. I also perform yoga and stretch regularly, and I immediately follow up with my trainer or physician if I have any issues that need to be addressed.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I serve as a Student Ambassador at St. Francis DeSales HS. I also volunteer for a variety of tasks for middle school football games and I volunteer to work summer kids' sports camps. Finally, my family and I volunteer at our local nursing home where I move the residents in and outdoors for different holiday events.
