Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

Ever since I began diving I have been very dedicated to the sport. I love nothing more than pushing myself past my limits and learning from other divers. I would love to be recruited to dive in college so that I can continue learning, improving, and competing.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

Some of the highlights of my dive practices include leading my team through warm ups and conditioning. In addition I have been coaching summer diving for 3 years. Outside of diving I am a Big Mac (mentor for underclassmen) as well as a member of NHS (National Honor Society) and a Girl Scout. In all of these roles I am able to both learn from others as well as teach and help my community grow.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

The ways in which I ensure that my physical preformance is up to par include attending 5-6 practices a week (2.5 hours each) as well as working out on my own time. I use all of my practice time to my advantage in order to ensure that my training reflects my goals.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I believe that community service is vital to the growth of a family-like environment. One way I help my community reach this ideal is by coaching summer dive. I always ensure that I am putting my best foot forward and pushing myself during my practices as well as being attentive while coaching in order to set an example for the impressionable divers of my team.
