Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I feel succeeding at being a student-athlete makes me a better person to be a team player as well as be competitive. This prepares a person for the real world after college to keep trying and never give up.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

At high school, I was on student government freshman year. Unfortunately, soccer and track interfered prohibited with other after school activities. On a student level, I take initiative on class group projects.

On the pitch, if I am the newcomer, I try to observe and provide support where necessary. Once I move to a leadership role, I provide encouragement and direction to the newer players on the team.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

There is a balance between academics and sports. Although I train with my team, I also pursue strength training and personal one on one training to improve my individual skills. I also have gueted and played on many teams to learn styles of coaching, formations on the pitch, as well as working with individuals. Most importantly, I set time each day for my school studies, taking advantage of any open time I have including finishing my school projects ahead of schedule.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I have trained younger girls in soccer to become better players. I have raised money for the Special Olympics for the last two years.
