Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I want to play sports in college to help me to further myself both physically and mentally. I believe that by doing collegiate level athletics I will find a community of like-minded individuals who are just as talented and motivated as I am.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

Off the Field: As an Eagle Scout, I was required to spearhead a project to benefit my community. I chose to build a 300-foot long fence along the dock at the Cleveland Rowing Foundation to help the community stay safe. I was responsible for fundraising, acquiring materials, planning and the safety of the project.

On the Field: As the coxswain of the boat, it is my responsibility to lead the rowers in the boat, both by example and by instruction. I am in charge of making sure all 8 rowers are properly warmed up and ready to race before every event at every regatta.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

During both the on and off seasons, I eat healthy foods and diet myself so that I can best perform. I also run during my free time and during team workouts and winter training do static and dynamic exercises while the team ergs.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.
