Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I joined rowing in Grade 9, when I was going into a new school and had to make all new friends. Through rowing, I've been able to find such an amazing and supportive group of people that have helped me exceed in this sport and in my personal life as well. I fell in love with rowing and I just can't see myself giving it up any time soon.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.
-
Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.
-
Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I volunteer quite a bit in my community. Since there is the International Flatwater Center in my town, there are lots of water based sport events held here that need volunteers to help it run smoothly. I tended to volunteer more a few years ago when I hurt my back but I still manage to fit some in between school and practice. I was also involved with Scouts Canada and volunteered to be a leader at the younger groups meetings once a week and at their camps as well. I am now a member of my local Ranger group, which is the older section of Girl Guides, where we volunteer at churches for soup kitchens and many other places around our city.
