I broke collarbone a year ago and could not play in tournaments they way I wanted or needed to; however, I am playing in as many as I can now and will surpass my previous lowest scores. You can contact my swing coach as she will confirm how hard I am working and how strong I can be.
Motivated and determined
I love playing golf. It has been my all time favorite pass time and sport. It has taught me so much about life. I want to excel in golf and have always felt my best golf was going to happen while at college. I desire to be on a golf team and desire to work for the golf channel when I graduate from college.
I remain positive and encouraging toward all players and people in general. I try to teach that the completion with golf is between yourself and the course, not the person you are playing against. I try to cheer on every player and person I encounter as I feel we all have are own journey in life and there is room for everyone to be successful. I model this daily in my personal life and on the course.
I work out almost everyday before going to high school. I practice golf when I get home and get to bed early. I try to eat healthy and drink a lot of water.
Giving back and volunteering has always been one of the most important things I have done considering I have grown up with two parents who worked with intellectually and mentally challenged youth. Since birth, I would go to work with her parents where I would play games and go on community outings with children who suffered from a variety of medical and mental disorders. I preferred assisting with the children who suffered from autism as I felt her kindness and fun loving personality always put a smile on their faces. I enjoyed helping them to learn basic daily life skills and playing sports with them during the weekends and summer vacations. When I started playing golf, I was instrumental in helping create and play in golf tournaments to help families with children of disabilities. Since helping create my first golf tournament, I have volunteered and played in several golf tournaments that assist the less fortunate and the homeless in the tidewater area. I feels strongly about dedicating her blessings and talents toward agencies she knows is making a difference in the lives they serve.
