Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I would like to be recruited so that I can further develop my skill set and wrestle at the next level. Also, getting recruited would help me get into college and give me opportunities that I may not have had before.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

While fundraising for football, I helped an elderly man move some heavy wooden pallets. During a wrestling event, I always try to maintain a positive and supportive energy towards both my teammates and fans of my school. I believe in leading by example through the face of adversity. Showing good sportsmanship, being respectful, and listening to my coaches.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

When I'm at an athletic event, it all starts with preparation that my coaches have instilled in me. Mental toughness exercises, such as positive thinking and believing in myself and my abilities. Lead by example; Winning with honor, but taking the losses as a learning opportunity. In the class room, I do my job by making sure I get the most out of each day. I also make sure that my grades are where they need to be, so that I can contribute to the team.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

First and foremost, I'm a volunteer firefighter in my community. This is important to me because it allows me to serve and protect my local community. I'm in the sons of union veterans of the civil war. This is important to me because we show respect to the brave soldiers that gave their lives during the civil war. I'm in both my school's key club and student government organizations. These organizations are important because they help both my school and community. Student government helps to voice the concerns and ideas of the student body. Key Club does a lot of fundraising to help those in need.
