Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I'm interested in playing at a higher level. I believe I am up for the challenge, and that participation in college sports will provide me with that opportunity. I want to push myself to be my best. In addition, college sports can also help bridge the transition to college by allowing me to connect with others who share similar interests.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I play varsity level on both my hockey and soccer teams. I just recently was selected by my hockey team to serve as their captain for the 2019 hockey season. Many of my teammates seek me out for advice and have encouraged me to apply for leadership positions.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I try to eat healthy and manage my time well to reduce extra stress. I also work on my skills outside of regular practice. For example, I will usually shoot pucks for about an hour before my games.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

As an active member of the NHS (National Honor Society), I have had the opportunity to help others through various community service projects. In addition, I have also volunteered to help teach youth beginning skills in both hockey and soccer through my participation in high school sports. These experiences have left me with such a positive feeling, knowing I have been able to help others.
