During the Spring 2019 season, I rowed 3 seat in the varsity 4+ category. We raced at 4 VASRA regattas including Virginia scholastic championship. We placed top 3 at all 3 regular season VASRA regattas and felt confident going into states. At states, unfortunately we rowed a slow race in the morning and were unable to advance to grand finals. We placed first in the petite final with a time that would have been competitive in the grand final. To finish out our season, we took a trip to Philadelphia to compete in the Stotesbury cup regatta. We had a great row in the time trial, placing top 18 out of 54, and were able to advance to semi-finals. We were unable to place out of semi-finals.
For the summer, I am currently training with Resilient Rowing to compete in both the National Championships (Bethel, Ohio) and Canadian Henley (St. Catharines, Ontario). I look forward to competing in both these events.
