Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I love lacrosse. I play year-round and you'll most likely always see me with a stick in my hand, so it has quickly become part of who I am. I would love the chance to continue to play at the next level. I also want to use next level play as a way to help give back to the game that has given so much to me!

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

Being a team captain, I feel as if I need to take responsibility to help my teammates and the younger generation of players any way I can. On the field, I work to make sure my teammates understand what drills are going on, but also help them, especially the younger girls, grow their knowledge of the game. I like to help coach the younger league when I can. Off the field, I like to help my teammates with any academic needs they may have, namely if they are struggling with homework or a tough subject that I could tutor them in.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

Not only do I workout my body, but I make sure to work my mind too. I work hard in class and make sure to study and do my homework, and ask for help when I need it. When I am not in class, I am a multi-sport varsity athlete, so I make sure to get plenty of exercise and conditioning that will keep me in top shape, which means not only cardio, but also weight training and keeping a nutritious diet.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I try to get involved in as much community service as I can, mostly helping at the dog shelter and the food pantry. I also help the local rotary chapter in making many posters and other artistic advertising needs. Giving back to my community is important to me because I feel that it is a responsibility of all members to make sure everyone is supported, as you never know when you too will need that support; it also makes us grow closer!
