Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
-
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.
-
Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.
-
Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

Parts of Cleveland are a food desert, and I am moved that there are people in my own community who do not have access to healthy foods. So, in my free time, I volunteer at the Benjamin Franklin Community Garden with the nonprofit organization Make a Difference Club. I contribute by planting, watering, weeding, and harvesting fresh vegetables to be donated to local food pantries. Our organization has donated over 5000 lbs of vegetables to the hungry. On the flip side, I have also volunteered at the Cleveland Food Bank, where I have helped to pack lunches for school children and prepare meals for homebound senior citizens. Healthy food is something that most of us take for granted. We go to our pantry or refrigerator and can get a snack whenever we want. It is important to me to help, even in small ways, if it can give others have access to nutritious food.
