Personal Highlights

My name is Tyler Roberts and I am beginning the process of looking for the right college with a good golf and academic program. I decided to send a quick update about myself.
I am currently a junior at Bexley High school located in Columbus, Ohio. I have a cumulative of 3.5 GPA and I work hard in the classroom and on the golf course. I really hope to be able to continue my passion for golf at the collegiate level.

During the summer of 2018, I came in second and third place in a few of the golf tournaments. In addition, I won a CRPD Golf event in June 2018. Also, I have played in the Wendy Junior Championship the last three years and I come in second place each tournament.

Earlier this month, during Varsity High School Golf I shot a 75 for the Districts. This was the lowest individual score for the whole tournament and ended up playing in a four- man playoff but tied for second. My current scoring average is 77.

My next big golf tournament that I am playing in is the George Holiday in November 2018 which is in Myrtle Beach, SC. This is a great three- day golf tournament.

Please feel free to reach out to my swing coach Gerry Hammond at golfwithg@yahoo.com (614) 260-0101 and my Varsity Golf Coach Jimmy Ryan at jryan3@wideopenwest.com (614) 563-6916.
I would be happy to answer any of your questions and understand what I need to accomplish to be considered for a position of your golf team. I can be reached by cell phone at 1-614-517-6181, or you can please send me an email.

I really appreciate your time and consideration and hope to hear from you soon.

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

My name is Tyler Roberts and I am currently a junior at Bexley High School. I first held a golf club in my hand as a toddler and started playing on a course at the age of nine. During the summer before my 8th grade year, I began competing in local tournaments. My freshman year, I realized golf was my first love, so I gave up basketball and baseball to devote more to the sport. I took full advantage of high school golf privileges and spent countless hours at the range, on the putting green and playing on my home course. I improved in all areas of the game and drastically lowered my scoring average. My dream is to someday play golf on a college team. I work hard in the classroom and understand that academics always come first. Each day I strive to do my best in school and on the golf course. What makes me stand out from most other recruited are my high academic record (G.P.A. of 3.5+) and my dedicated work ethic to continually improve my golf skills. Thanks you for taking the time to read my bio and I am looking forward to hearing back from you soon.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.
-
Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.
-
Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I am always trying to help out where needed. I am involved in Bexley Boosters and school voluntary events.
