Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I want to continue to play sports in college because quite frankly i'm not ready to quit. I believe I have a lot to offer to a team as well as to continue learning to be a part of a team. I have made many friendships through sports and I'm hoping to continue this into college. There is no better feeling than knowing your whole team is after one goal and that is to work together to become a finely tuned instrument.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

While on the court , I help to lead my teammates by encouraging them and helping those who may not know what to do or where to go. Off the court, I'm in a program called LifeSavers. This is a group of students who are peer mentors that promote preventing the use of drugs and alcohol.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I pursue a healthy athletic performance through my daily eating habits as well as my sleep habits. Having a trainer as a mom, has taught me the importance of healthy eating. Learning how and what to eat really makes a difference in my daily routine. I make sure I to have a well rounded diet of protein, fats and carbohydrates as well as keeping myself hydrated.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

My high school holds youth camps for volleyball and basketball where I volunteer my time to help teach in both of these sports. I believe encouraging youth to play and learn about sports provides a positive impact on them and gives them an outlet to express themselves in a safe environment.
