Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I want to be recruited to play basketball in college because I have a story that I would like to be told, when I was younger I struggled finding a team that would push me past my talents and make me an all rounded player. Then when I entered high school I really had to work hard for everything that I have been blessed with now. /now in high school, I was expected to be a leader and push my teammates. Being recruited is just my way of being able to give back to the coaches and trainers that took the time to work with me to develop my skills on and off the court.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I have demonstrated leadership on the court because I am one of the captains, when things aren't going as planned I pull everybody together and give some advice on things we should adjust. I show leadership off the court by my actions in the classroom, I show up to class on time , I complete quality work and leave an astounding example of how other students should act as well.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

In order to be a student athlete I really had to put school first, If we had a late practice, I would try to get my homework finished first and then enjoy practice or vice versa. When it came down to the athlete side, I made sure to eat healthy, drink tons of water, and treat my body with ice and heat when I was injured or sore.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I am actively involved in my church community. the last Saturday of every month, we get together goody bags and water for the homeless people downtown and spend a couple hours talking to them and being able to provide to them the things the don't have. This is important to me because it makes me really appreciate the life I am living and it helps me build character.
