Running is my passion and I personally feel that I put maximum effort into it, while also truly loving it. Rather than being a part of a sport for simply more opportunities, I love being part of a team and investing my time in something that makes me stronger and healthier, setting me up for healthy habits the rest of my life. Also, I feel that I have a great deal of athletic potential that has only been partially exposed and could truly be cultivated in a college environment
I take great strides in ensuring that I am being healthy as I pursue my athletic goals through stretching, icing, resting when necessary as well as taking great strides to avoid injury in the first place. I focus a great deal on my eating habits as well, to make sure I consume enough carbs and protein for energy to be active, while also eating healthy greens as a balanced diet for important vitamins and minerals.
I like to be active in my community through volunteering my time, through Key Club as well as NHS which allow me to give back to my community through tutoring my fellow students, active volunteering in the city and schools surrounding me, and helping those in need.
