Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I want to be recruited to play sports in college because tennis and track have given me a second home and I like having teammates I can always rely on. Playing sports also allows to calm down and clear my head that no other activity besides debate has allowed me to do such thing. Playing in college would be a dream come true and I would greatly appreciate that offer.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I am the president of the speech and debate team at Blue Springs South High School. I am also the team captain in Public Forum Debate, International Extemporaneous Debate, and Informative Speech. Speech and debate plays a large role in my life and so I take the activity very seriously. I am also on the USA Debate team of 2020-2021 where I am also a team leader for the squad. Similarly I take tennis and track just as importantly. Having played Novice freshman year and then Junior Varsity sophomore and junior year I have become a role model and a mom for the team where I am always there for any of the girls on the team. I think that in order for a team to run well there needs to be a family like bond and I provide that for the 20 girls on the team.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I am usually staying away from high calorie sweets and foods during season and then off season I still eat very healthy but I will sometimes indulge in my guilty pleasures. I also workout every single day whether it be indoors and I am just at a gym or doing some yoga or when I go outside for a 4-5 mile run when the weather permits.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I am a youth attorney for Eastern Jackson County Youth Court where I took a bar exam and became licensed to serve time as a prosecute, judge, or defense attorney. Furthermore I spend my time volunteering at Children's Mercy Hospital whenever I get the chance to. I tutor English to kids in Ukraine through a program called ENGin where I have 4 students I am apart of and we meet for 2 hours weekly. I have also done over 230 hours of Community Service since freshman year of high school. Serving my community is important to me because they have shaped me to become an amazing person. I am in forever debt of my community and I try to repay as much as possible through community service.
