Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I love football. It’s one of very few things that I’ve always enjoyed. I think it would help me continue to grow as a man, motivate me academically, and I could have fun.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I am now a leader for the football team, and will likely become captain when we elect captains in the fall. I also ran for student government, and was one of seven people who were in charge of altar serving at my church. We have over 100 servers, so it was a tall task. I’m also an older brother, which has taught me to be responsible for people who need my help.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I attend every spring football workout every single day, and I’m one of maybe 3 or 4 guys that does that. I do that while going to rugby practice 5 days a week, with a game on a 6th day. I make sure I don’t waste any reps, no matter how stupid a drill might seem to me. I also make sure to get as much sleep as I can, although that can be difficult with my heavy academic work load.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

Every few months, I take time out of my busy schedule to volunteer with a local soup kitchen to prepare and serve a meal to the homeless in my community. I really want to make a difference for these people while I’m still young and energetic, and enjoy interacting with the people I serve. It helps keep me humble, grateful, and motivated to work for the good of others.
