Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I love the sports that I compete in. I feel like I have a lot to give in both football and wrestling. I enjoy every moment that I am on the field and on the mat. I like how participating in sports keeps me grounded and in shape at the same time. I have participated in both football and wrestling since I was 8 years old and I would hate to see that end while I still have so much left to give.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

Freshman Year - On the field, I was team captain for the JV football team, I worked to keep my teammates spirits up and always gave 100% to the game and my teammates. I was also on the Varsity wrestling team. I followed the direction of our captains and tried to be a good, supporting teammate as well. Off the field, I have received Student of the Month in October (Freshman Year). I have also received Athlete of the Month in January (Freshman Year). I try to make each of my classes just as important as the next so that I continue to do good in the classroom, as well as on the field I made Honor Roll all four quarters my freshman year. Sophomore Year - Off the field, I make Honor Roll every quarter. I am on Honor Roll and I am involved in 3 clubs at my school. DoChange is a freshman mentoring club. Key Club is a community volunteer club. I am also involved in Student Council. I also participated in PIB (Pirates Invade the Ballroom) as an extra curricular which helps to raise money for the Fine Arts department at my high school. On the field, I started on both sides of the ball for Varsity football. I was named the player of the game for Week 2 (2019 Football season). I do not miss practices and I encourage my teammates to do their best at all times during practices, during games and in school. This year I will be on the Varsity wrestling team again. I will also be a team captain on the Varsity wrestling team.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I am in football and wrestling in high school. I eat healthy and exercise daily. I am signed up at a local gym that I go to and workout every morning before school. I have workouts that are tailored for me specifically to help increase my strength, speed and agility. I try to make sure I am in the best shape I can be to avoid any unnecessary injuries. I make sure to address any possible concerns immediately so that a minor injury doesn't turn into a major injury. My drive and love for the sports that I do keep me from drinking or do drugs because I want to always give and be 100% and I know that alcohol and drugs will make it harder for me to compete.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I participate in Peer Jury which is done through the local police department which works to give kids up to age 18 a second chance if they were charged with a minor illegal action. I have been with this organization since Fall 2016. In my sophomore year in high school, I joined Key Club (Community volunteer club), DoChange club (Freshman mentoring club) and Student Council.
