My name is Farah Adylah Yeoh and I'm seventeen years old. I am now in my final year of senior high school and I'm graduating in December 2019. It has been my dream to further my studies in the US and play collegiate golf at the same time.
I fell in love with the game of golf since the first day I was introduced to it. None of my family members play golf, hence my passion and commitment for golf comes from within my heart. I was introduced to the game of golf at the age of 9 by a teacher in school and started joining tournaments the following year. Under my coaches' proper guidance, my hard work and my mom’s undivided moral support, my game has been improving over these years. I have been representing my school and my home state since 10 and I have also represented my country in international golf tournaments.
Golf has taught me the values of independence, confidence, responsibility, patience, respect and gratitude which have molded me into a good team player too. It has developed my mental, physical and emotional strengths.
As determined as I am to continue my golf career, I’m committed to graduate with a degree before pursuing golf at a higher level. I want to excel in both fields so I would have better opportunities to help my mom who struggles to raise my siblings and I as a single parent. I will work hard to ensure I succeed in both sports and studies to achieve my dreams.
