Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
-
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.
-
Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

A body in motion, stays in motion; eat, sleep, row, repeat! I am a student-athlete every season, when I am not rowing in the fall/spring seasons, I swim for my high school team in the winter. I spent my days off in the fall managing the football team but crew was my first priority. As a Holy Spirit rower I am expected to maintain a substance free lifestyle and represent our program with honor and respect!

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I’ve been involved in various amounts of community service since my initial involvement in my Girl Scout troop, where I started as a brownie in second grade. I’ve also done a lot with my local youth group, including working with Sister Jean’s Kitchen, supervising/teaching at the Vacation Bible Study Camp, and planning the few events for the younger kids around certain holidays, like our annual Halloween hayride. More recent service involvement includes organizations such as, Elephants for Autism, South Jersey Field of Dreams, and Hoops for All. I plan on continuing my service at the Brigantine Youth and Adaptive Summer Rowing programs as well as the youth football and cheerleading programs in my city. I feel it is important to not only give back to the community that has contributed to my success, but to help the younger generation and lead them to a greater path. It also gives me an opportunity to experience first hand what is going on in my backyard.
