FSRA Sweep States 2019 Plan/Outline Part 2
PART 2 (Message repeats from P1): I think it's very important to have at least a rough diagram of what you should be doing during a race. A solid outline of what you're going to be doing throughout every stage of your race is an important piece of the puzzle to crossing first in the finish line. Even though a race plan is very easy to counter, a coxswain should never stick to his/her race plan and always improvise for the certain situation. Here’s an example of a race plan I presented to my rowers at FSRA Sweep States 2019 in the Mens Junior 4 event. We obviously didn’t stick to this plan, but I think it is essential to let your rowers know what we could be doing at those points in the race.
