Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I would like to be recruited to play Volleyball in college due to my true love, passion and commitment for the game. I am relentless in my commitment to play and willing to accept the neccesary scarfices to play volleyball in college. Through my years of playing both high school, and Junior Olympic volleyball I've learned the key components of the game. I've learned how to be a team player on and off of the court along with understanding a passers and hitters perspective of the game.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I am a well-rounded student that shows leadership qualities daily. I am the Secretary for the American Sign Language (ASL) program at my High school. The ASL program educates and provides awareness and advocacy for the hearing impaired community in and outside of the school. In addition, I hold the position as President of the Minority Achievement Committee (MAC) of high school scholars. I serve on the Student Council Executive Cabinet for the 2018-2019 school year, I work with the incoming freshman as a Link Leader to ensure their success, as an Ambassador for the Leadership Conference where we create a weekend-long event inspired to find one's inner leader. I have also been the captain of my High School Volleyball team for three years. Due to my leadership skills both on and off of the court, I am truly confident that I am the embodiment of the kind of student who would thrive on your campus.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

As a student athlete I maintain a healthy diet in season and out of season, along with a consistent workout plan in order to keep my body and mind in shape. Also being a student athlete I strive to have effective time management skills and utilize effective resources to help assist in my studies along with personal training to be successful.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I am involved in service in my community by participating in different clubs and organizations such as SAY which is a student leadership group. We go around the community and help sort medical supplies, make hats for the homeless, play with autistic children, etc. I am also apart of the American Sign Language club where we advocate for the hearing impaired within our community. All of these efforts are so important to me because I enjoy helping others who may be in need of my help. Helping within the deaf community is also very important to me because I would like to minor in American Sign Language to continue to advocate for the deaf.
