I am very passionate about track and field. Throughout the year, I look forward to spring because it is when the high school season starts. I enjoy pushing myself to become a better thrower by putting in extra time and practice outside of the season. My goal is to make it to state, and after that, to continue doing what I love in college.
As a student-athlete, it is crucial to be healthy in both mind and body. I maintain a healthy mind by balancing school and sports. I give my all in each and understand the importance of finding time to rest and reflect in between. As for a healthy body, a balanced diet is necessary in order for me to perform at my peak ability. When it comes to training, practice makes perfect. For this reason, I take every practice seriously and see it as an opportunity to make myself better than the day before. By building a healthy mind and body, I perform as a stronger athlete.
