Personal Highlights

I play baseball also. I t is one of my dreams to be a 2-sport athlete with baseball and diving, if it is where possible. I run at 60 in 7.1 seconds. My home to 1st is 4.25 seconds. 10 yard split 1.6. The broad jump is 7'8 back in 2018. My fastball is about 80, CB 68, CH67, SL 60. My IF Velo is 80. Values certified 2019 at Best in the US Showcase and the MJLB Classic by a Phillies scout, and at my baseball facility. I enjoy baseball, diving, football, and riding motocross or biking on trails. I was a USSSA All-American in baseball for two years and I am on a Junior Olympic pre-team for diving. This year I am the backup kicker for the Varsity Football team. It is my first year playing football. I enjoy most sports and social science classes like Sociology and History. I also played keyboards for the School of Rock for four seasons. I play guitar and even write music in my spare time.

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I have always wanted to play sports in college. I hope to earn a scholarship to help me go to college. I am a scholar-athlete and work towards that 4.0 each quarter in hopes that a college would see me as a good fit. I have found that being balanced with school work and sports has helped me become more disciplined and focused. I would like to continue that in college. But most of all I want to continue to play sports as long as I can. I would hate for sports to end when I graduate high school.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

In my sophomore year, I took a business course and ran the school store. I did all the financial calculations and kept the books updated each day. I have never had that kind of experience before but my teacher felt that I had the characteristics and ethics to run the business.

On the field I am always directing my team to be aware of the runners, outs, and where the play should be. I try to remind those who might strike out or have a bad game that this happens and to keep your head in the game. Never get frustrated but to get right back in and not to give up. I try to be the voice on the team even though I am a sophomore. Even players who might be playing JV and not varsity and are still learning the game, I try to help them with their swing and let them know when to step back, not drop their shoulder and hit the ball as hard as they can.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I volunteer at the science events run by the Virginia Section of the American Chemical Society for National Chemistry Week and Earth Day usually at the Science Museum of Virginia or other locations. I have volunteered at the Down Syndrome 5K-Family festival doing hands-on activities with kids focusing on science fun.
This past Fall a few of my baseball friends with the partnership of the Metropolitan Junior Baseball league ran a Bahamas Relief Fundraiser and drive. https://localtvwtvr.wordpress.com/2019/09/06/how-these-richmond-teens-are-stepping-up-to-the-plate-to-help-the-bahamas/
