I have been swimming on summer swim teams and club swim teams since I was 5 years old. I joined Club North swimming when I was 11 years old and through Club North Swimming I have grown tremendously as a swimmer. With Club North Swimming I attended many championship meets including Missouri Valley Championships and Region 9 Sectionals. I am currently on Tsunami Swim Team of Kansas City and hope to attend both summer and spring region 9 sectional with them this year. I am a 3 year varsity swimmer and letterer at Staley High School and have earned many honors through high school swimming. I earned 1st team all state in both the 200 freestyle relay and 200 medley relay in 2018, I earned 2nd team all state in the 100 backstroke in 2019, and I have earned 1st team all conference in 2017, 2018, and 2019.
Growing up swimming was not my only sport I have done triathlons since I was 6 years old and have been a member of Z3 triathlon team since I was 10. Being a part of Z3 has given me many opportunities to grow a person and as an athlete. Through Z3 I have traveled by myself to many places around the United States and I have attended youth and junior nationals nationals in 2012- 2018. On Z3 we have seven pillars of character accountability, humility, safety, integrity, responsibility, sportsmanship, and goal setting; these pillars have shaped me in to the person I am today. Being on Z3 has made me very responsible because I travel alone to races a lot, I take care of my own equipment, and I practice by myself a lot which makes me responsible for my own schedule and success when racing.
In college I hope to be a part of a team that is like a family who supports and encourages each other to get better every day. I am open to traveling far away for college and will go to any size college. I look forward to attending a college that will give me a well-rounded academic as well as swimming career.
