I am currently first in the state of Ohio in the Triple jump and Seventh in long jump. I have been working with a personal trainer since last May building strength and explosiveness.
Track Highlights as mentioned in the Indoor and Outdoor honors.
In addition to track, I have also figure skated since I was 3 years old. I believe skating has had a huge impact on my explosiveness and jumping abilities especially in the Triple Jump.
I am Captain of the Padua Figure Skating team. I am the highest tested and highest level competitor in Padua school history.
Figure skating double Gold Medalist, freeskate (jumps and spins) and field moves (footwork). Ice dance level pre-gold.
Figure skating has given me the explosiveness needed to jump high and far, as well as the discipline, work ethic and determination needed for constant improvement and results.
I am a very dedicated and hard worker. I love seeing improvement in my running and jumping. When I am given an opportunity to succeed, I take it very seriously and give my time to that opportunity, making it a priority. And when I fail, or am unsuccessful, I do not give up.
If/when I am recruited, I know I will give my all to that college. I am very teachable and trainable.
I believe I provide a positive example of a hard working and encouraging athlete.
On the field, I never take short cuts, I always complete a full warm up, and I always finish the work outs.
At school, I encourage my teammates to come to lifts and practices when they are not feeling up to it.
I believe that I lead by my positive example.
I believe my mindset is very positive. I enter my meets confident and ready to compete.
I take care of my physical body. I avoid everything that will affect me in the short and long run.
I serve the needy at local churches during the school year. I believe that I am a big help because I not only serve the people, but I talk to and get to know some of them that come in and out of the food lines. I think that talking and smiling with people goes a long way especially when they are not in a great place in their lives.
