Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I want to be recruited to play sports in college because I want to belong to a team and continue achieving greater diving goals beyond high school. I also enjoy being apart of a close knit community because they become your family away from home.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

On the pool deck I strive to be proactive leader by demonstrating positive work ethic towards coaches, teammates, opponents, and officials. I set a good example for my fellow diver and swimmer teammates by creating attainable goals I work towards during practice and weightlifting six days a week in the off-season. At school I lead by staying chemically free and working with other students to create a drug free environment.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

As a student athlete I pursue healthy athletic performance by executing time management skills in order to complete my school work on time so that I can use my athletic practices to their full potential. This allows me to get enough rest every night so that I can come to school prepared the next day. Eating healthy is another step I take seriously because it helps my performance both on the boards and in the classroom. During the off season I work hard to stay in shape by working out six days a week and practicing with the North Star Diving Club.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

Courage Retreat Leader for Northfield High School through Youth Frontiers
