Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I am committed to bettering the world around me and leaving a lasting impact on my classmates, coaches, and teammates. Being given the opportunity to Dive in college would enrich my passion for the sport and help me to continue pushing my limits and help others push theirs. For this to happen, I would be grateful to secure some form of scholarship or tuition break to cut the cost of college down to a reasonable price.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

Aside from being Dive Captain for the 2018-2019 season and the future season as well, I maintain good grades, am always willing to help others in the class, and I keep healthy relationships with my teachers and peers. As the 2019-2020 year approaches, I will be guiding the incoming freshman class by being a member of Link Crew. This organization helps the incoming freshman class feel welcome by providing tours of the school, homework help, and we will promote all the clubs and sports our school has to offer.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I maintain a positive attitude, a balanced diet, and a strong work ethic as part of my everyday lifestyle. Most days, I devote a lengthy 6-7 hours of my days to Diving, but I do my best to maintain a balanced life of studying, Diving, and free time. I think positively about myself and others, often using visualization to promote strong mental images.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

Being able to give back to the community will always hold a special place in my heart because I know that one small action of mine can change someone’s life forever.

Through my Church, I am involved with its Youth Group program, where every year we make thousands of meals to feed the homeless, sing in retirement homes, and help young children with their homework.

I also became involved with National Charity League and was awarded the Most Philanthropy Hours Award for the most amount of hours of charity work in one year. In addition, I held leadership positions ranging from Social Events Coordinator, where I was in charge of planning all our charity events and meetings to Treasurer, where I kept track of all the expenses in our charity chapter.

At school, I joined the Talent Show Committee, where we formed the first Talent Show our school has ever experienced. I became the Stage Manager, where I helped with all the ins and outs of putting on the show. My Choir Treasury position allowed me to have full control of the cash box in this production, where I was responsible for over $3,000.

Furthermore, I hold leadership positions in many other activities, such as Varsity Women’s Choir, where I was the Treasurer. Next year, I will hold a high position on the yearbook committee, continue to participate in Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the German Club, where I held the Vice-President role.
