I want to be able to wrestle at a school that I will create my future in. I would love to have 4 more years to wrestle after college. I want to be recruited to wrestle in college so I can make an impact in a college program and become an All- American.
I demonstrated leadership qualities during the NJ team state Championships as a freshman. During my teams final dual the score was very tight. I happened to be losing 5-0 at the end of the first period against a talented opponent. At the beginning of the second period, I caught my opponent off guard and quickly pinned him; rallying my teammates. This act of perseverance is definitely a quality of a leader.
I demonstrate leadership during school by always trying to help struggling students that I notice around the school.
In order to be a student-athlete, I try to maintain my good grades while bettering myself on the wrestling mat. Maintaining grades and wrestling can often be hard. I make sure I manage my time wisely to complete all my schoolwork, and still be able to train for wrestling every day.
I clean up my neighborhood with friends and volunteered at a few soup kitchens this past year. These efforts made me thankful for what I have and it is a good way to give back to the community.
