Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

Running helps me to focus and stay motivated in all areas of my life which I know will help me succeed with my academics in college. I also love competition and know that I can continue to excel at the college level.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I am currently a rising Senior and am acting as a captain of our cross country team. The captain's responsibility is to prepare and motivate the underclassmen members of the team.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I strive to eat a healthy diet and get plenty of rest. I practice hard whether conditioning for Cross Country or Track because I won't perform at my best if I don't prepare off the course or track.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

Throughout high school, I have participated in many community service activities both as required for school and for my own interests. I spent several years volunteering for SICSA animal shelter and several environmental organizations including the Marianist Environmental Education Center and Five Rivers Metroparks.

First time running open sprints (60m, 200m and 400m). Working on my leg speed for my 800m. Finished 3rd overall in the 200m and 400m and 14th overall in the 60m.

Ran our first Indoor meet today at Ohio Northern (my first Indoor meet ever). Pretty happy with a 1st place performance in the 800M.
