Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

As an 8-year-old girl when I first started swimming my dream was to compete in the Olympics (what little girl's dream isn't?) But now that I'm older, I've started to realize that my true dream, and maybe a more realistic one, is to compete at a college level. I love swimming and every time I leave the pool I go home with a drive to push myself even harder the next day, and that's something I want to keep with me as long as I can.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

For me, pursuing "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete starts with a balanced diet before you even jump in the pool, and it ends with a healthy and safe recovery after you leave which can include icing any injuries, and stretching out all your muscles. In between you have drinking LOTS of water and being careful about overworking any injuries while you still are pushing yourself to do your best every time.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.
