Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I would like to participate in a team sport where we all are working towards a common goal. I would like to help lead my team to multiple division wins and tournament trips. I would to continue the sport that I love to play.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I have participated in the Naval ROTC program at my high school. I’ve learned a lot about being selfless, team oriented , and leading by example and hard work . I try to use these qualities when I play basketball.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

Both sets of my grandparents and parents are immigrants so I have learned to eat a lot of healthy and fresh Greek and Spanish food. I’ve also learned to stay away from substances as my family does not participate in any social drugs or smoking. I pride myself on exercising on a regular basis, eating right, and sleeping well. This allows me to do well on the court and in the classroom.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

At school, I have exceeded my community service hours by more than fifty percent of the school requirement. Whether it has been volunteering for service at ROTC or at my church, my participation has given me a sense of pride in helping others.
