Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I would like to be recruited because the past three years have transformed my life into something I never thought I would be a part of. Crew has helped me stay on track academically, put me in the best shape of my life, and it has helped me form some of the strongest friendships I have ever had. It has also helped me become much stronger mentally and I believe if I continue rowing in college, it will only benefit me more. I also just love the sport as a whole and could not imagine stopping after high school.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.
-
Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.
-
Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

My school offers service trips such as the Secret Santa Project or a Junior Summer Service trip, both of which I have attended. Secret Santa is where my classmates and I gift presents to cancer patients during Christmas time while dressed as Santa and his elves. On my summer service trip, I traveled to Browning, Montana to live on the Blackfeet Reservation for a week. Here I worked with kids during summer school, completed tasks for the school's administration, and learned about Native American Culture. Both of these experiences have helped me remind myself how grateful I am to have all of the gifts I have in life, and to carry myself with a much more positive outlook in life.
