-I am one of the leaders of the Big Picture Foundation leadership group. I am the head of public relations and am tasked with writing articles, for the organization. **Big Picture is a nonprofit foundation (disassociated with school) that uses arts and creativity to help fundraise for refugee organizations.
-I am actively working with Soul Ryeders to support family's who have lost loved ones to cancer.
-Played competitive soccer for 10 years
I want to maintain my physical health as well as further excel in the sport that I love.
As an older sister, I take pride in knowing that my younger siblings constantly look up to my actions; therefore, I carefully note that my behavior is appropriate and respectful at all times. Every rower has experienced being the youngest on a team or the newest rower on a team. Having this in mind, I believe that it is important to make rising varsity rowers or any new rower feel as welcome as possible so that they have an easy time adjusting to the new environment.
I believe that time management plays a significant role in the success of a student-athlete. By creating schedules that assess specific goals, I am able to always complete my assignments on time and therefore almost entirely avoid procrastination. Following a schedule has proven to help me get to sleep at a reasonable hour each school night.
I am a leader of the Big Picture Foundation and also try to spend my free time contributing to the Soul Ryeder's organization as well as the Don Bosco community center in Port Chester, New York. It is important for me to give back to my community through volunteer work because it helps me to never take all that I've been fortunate enough to possess for granted.
