Basketball Additional

I have been playing basketball since grade 3. Basketball is my passion and i work hard every day to improve my game. I made varsity as a sophomore but could have played freshman year but wanted minutes so choose to stay on JV. Sophmore year I played every game of the season, earned scholar-athlete, became a captain as a junior due to hard work, dedication and determination. Link to sportsrecruits website: https://sportsrecruits.com/athlete/kayleigh_flach. I would like to play basketball in college as I potentially further my education in engineering or dermatology.

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I want to continue my basketball career through college because it is something I love and enjoy doing. Basketball is more than a sport for me, and I believe I can take my talent, skill, hard work, and determination to achieve great things on the basketball court.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.
-
Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

During the season, off-season, and any time in between I practice my basketball skills or workout to stay in shape and continue improving. I am working with a basketball trainer to improve my mindset and basketball IQ so I can take my skills and apply them during every game. The 2021-2022 basketball season will kickstart the rest of my successful basketball career, and I want to be as overly prepared as I can be for new competition.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I am involved in my church, where I give back to the community by serving food, making blankets, sending mail to American soldiers, etc. This is important to me because it brings joy to people that may have less, and gives thanks to the people that protect American lives over their own.
