Personal Highlights

I have been apart of the Atlanta Juniors Rowing Women's team for the past five years. I was a rower until the later part of the spring season of sophomore year. Since then I have transferred over to coxing and have been racing in that position for a little more than a year. I have competed in such events such as the USRowing Youth National Championship for Women's Lightweight 8 and finished 12th in the nation. I will further be competing in the Varsity 8 at Head of the Charles.

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I want to be recruited to cox in college because I have been involved in this sport for the past five years and cannot imagine my life without it. I can also adapt easily to all different types of competition due to my experience.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

One example of how I have demonstrated leadership in both areas is by promoting for teen volunteers to help out for the 5k and also advertising the 5k in multiple business areas.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I have balanced the life of a student-athlete to the best of my capabilities. During racing weekends I would take priority in my school work at nights at the hotel. Also made sure my teachers and I have a good communicating relationship so I would not fall behind during regatta season.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I act as the teen coordinator for the Mustard Seed 5k. This 5k is important to me because it raises community awareness for the Mustard Seed organization in Nicaragua.
