Playing college/professional esports has been a dream of mine since I started playing competitively back in 7th grade. I am a competitive person so naturally when it came time to play video games I wanted to be the best. I also enjoy being on a team and bonding with my teammates and collegiate esports offers that in abundance. I have worked incredibly hard to better my game and intelligence when I play and would love an opportunity to take my gaming to the next chapter of my life.
I naturally am a leader, I take charge and do my best to lead my team. This applys to esports as when playing multiplayer game modes I often gravitate to leadership roles, making callouts and creating plays in order to better my teams position. While I do take charge, I feel as a leader I also have a responsibility to listen to my teammates and always put the good of the team before myself. This allows my team and I to be so successful.
I balance my academics and gaming by keeping a strict schedule that demands discipline. I always complete homework then transition the evening to my gaming whether it's after dinner or after practice I ensure that I get time in to ensure I stay sharp. I balance my enjoyment with gaming also with competitive and necessary jobs such as playing aim and reaction boosters. That, coupled with playing competitive is generally how most nights end. But I always ensure my homework is complete and I have enough rest for the next day. An esports career for me also means that I keep a high level of self care while playing, meaning I do not drink sugary drinks and I constantly workout and run to ensure I am in peak physical shape.
I am involved in my community through my volunteer work In elementary schools with special needs children. I assist the children and their teacher to help them better understand content and enjoy the class. I also am very involved in my church as my faith is a big part of my life. Otherwise I do odd volunteering jobs where needed, such as helping the boy scouts as there can never be too many people helping the community.
